The Annapolis Ward One Residents Association (WORA) is a voluntary, nonprofit neighborhood association dedicated to keeping our members informed and engaged about living in the heart of Annapolis.


Tom Krieck
President
Tom has over 40 years of executive business leadership experience. Tom moved to Annapolis in 2019 and remains active in the community as a high school baseball umpire and basketball referee. His personal story, from putting himself through school to becoming a business leader, is central to his strategy of inclusion and pragmatic governance.

Ron Gunzburger
Vice President
Ron's career spans decades of senior leadership in local and state government, including roles as a large-agency law enforcement senior commander, attorney, website publisher and social media director, and Governor Hogan's Director of Covid Response Strategy throughout the pandemic state of emergency.

Anna Boehk
Secretary
Anna moved to Annapolis to Ward One in 2020. Her background includes experience as an elementary school teacher, librarian, and now as the Director of Operations for two mental health clinics with volunteer experience as the coordinator for young adult ministry in Anne Arundel County and on the board of her local DAR chapter.


Mike Sullivan
Treasurer
Mike has lived in Annapolis for six years. He's a retired senior executive with Pepco Holdings/Exelon. For the past 6 years Mike's been an energy and management consultant and has served on many boards, including the Washington DC Chamber of Commerce and St John’s Vesty in Ellicott City.

Tom Berger
Board Member
Tom's been a resident of Ward One for over 21 years and is owner of the Georgian House Bed & Breakfast on Duke of Glocester. Tom is an independent consultant providing strategic planning, and general/financial management services to cultural organizations.
Bill Bray
Board Member
A Board member since 2023, Bill is a retired Navy officer who has lived in Ward One since 2018. He currently works for the U.S. Naval Institute and teaches Ethics at the Naval Academy as an adjunct professor.
Sharon Kennedy
Board Member
Sharon's been a Ward One resident since 2002 and currently steward of the 18th century Bordley Randall House and Garden. Sharon served for 15 years on the City of Annapolis Historic Preservation Commission and on the boards of various non-profit organizations including educational institutions and historic homes.
John Richards
Board Member
John is a lawyer whose family has lived in what is now Ward One continuously since the City was founded. For the past 10 years, John has served on the Board of Historic Alexandria Foundation as a member of its Advocacy Committee, responsible for its work before the Board of Architectural Review, the Board of Zoning Appeals and City Council.
Sandy Scott
Board Member
A Board member since 2024, Sandy’s professional background spans education and business, including work as a teacher, education software sales professional, and co-founder and president of a small LLC. She also served on the Board of Trustees for St. Anne’s School.
